WOW
So I started this parts company Kougaku Racing awhile back when I was in College. Made some S13/S14 subframe bushings, subframe collars, and an SR20 oversized water pump pulley. They sold well and I got a bunch or made. Well I graduated and got a real job and the company/project sorta went to the side.
Apparently google thinks otherwise cause if you google "s14 aluminum subframe bushings" we are like the 3rd link. I can't blieve we are that high on the list! Cool! Go here and buy parts www.kougakuracing.com

DD28
Hit up Chicago's greatest track, USAir, in Shawano, WI this weekend.
I was extremely happy with the car all day. For the first time I really felt like I could place the car where I wanted it. The ebrake was working...most of the time. I started doing the most insane entries at this track that brought a new smile to my face. I need more steering angle and a proper alignment, 4.5* camber on the back sucks balls when I'm trying to accelerate while keeping angle...but the fuck if I'm gonna raise it
Put a stock front w/ lip back on. And for the first time since owning the car I have the front corner lights, grill, and fender trim on

Honda Odyssey
Lately I've seriously been considering selling the G35 and buying an odyssey for max VIP. Slam, wide, aero. Maybe VIP isn't what I should do with it?

Oh yea
ASB 09
Went to ASB in cali.
Best trip of my life. Met so many cool people. Thank you to everyone in Norcal and Socal. Special thanks to Mark and all the guys at Fatlace!
Car held up great. I need knuckles (or more steering angle some how) and better cooling. Other than that car feels solid. I can't believe it but the motor didn't have one problem from beating on it in 110+ heat. But cause my fans kinda suck I had to run no front bumper or hood.
Oh yea, I already need new aero hahaha

DD25 - Gateway International Raceway
DD25 was a blast as usual. 3rd gear was insane. But I realized 3 things that must change soon
1. The engine is REAL tired...rebuild in the works
2. The car was too low, I hate saying it, but my transitions were wayyy fucked because of this (I think). I ended up raising the car about an inch on saturday and the few runs I did felt much better. However there was something awesome about throwing it into the first turn and seeing smoke roll off my FRONT fenders haha.
3. I need a higher final drive...my gearing is too long. Too little power, paired with gearing that was in between 2nd and 3rd the whole time amounted to piss poor driving.

low
wrote this in an email to my friend...thought it was funny
"So I went and slammed my car last night. And by slammed I mean slammed. Tucking in the rear, literally ALL the way to the lip of the wheel, and only about ¾” of tire sidewall is showing in the front. The first time I dropped it it wouldn’t move because the exhaust was jammed inbetween the diff and ground. Brian suggested I raise it…I just pulled the exhaust off. Luckily there was a flange right before where it was hitting (around the diff), so I took off the “axel back”. Than dropped it again, and the downpipe was jammed on the ground. So I found a bar that was going across the driveshaft tunnel, which was above the exhaust. Flipped it around so now it goes under the exhaust and pulls the exhaust up way tight. I now have about 1” of clearance between my frame rails and the ground, and about ½” between my exhaust and the ground. Rad"
pics soon

-"...set of Weds Cerberus 2 wheels are 19x10 up front and 19x12 in the rear."
-"...Defi gauges all lit up, sitting on the dashboard above the double din LCD screen and Apex FC Commander."

A throwback..2002
It's crazy to see how things have changed in the past 6 years. Not only have the cars changed drastically with more outreagous body kits, wings, lights, wheels, ect but before they are much smoother, yet lack the angle we see today. It really amazes me how much it resembles skateboarding, and snowboarding. At first the boards were basic and an ollie was an advanced trick, and now we have 900's and rodeo's.
I wonder where drifting will go next, some of my optomistic "realistic" predictions:
1. Formula D will get gayer, cars will be higher and uglier and drivers more concerned with sponsor money than anything else.
2. A ton of mini competetions will start to open up. In skateboarding and snowboarding there isn't one series to compete in, there are ton's of different events, all with differerent rules and participants.
3. Drivers can make a career/living on street driving and small events. With the "coolness" factor of drifting it will gain more popularity and be a larger market demographic. Sponsors will see this and pay for things like videos and competetion payouts.
4. Going on from #3, there will be a lot more drift videos (which will help pay the athletes). There are already 2 dvd's from drift alliance, and T2 Films has another bad ass video coming out...both are extremely skate/bmx like.
5. There will be a "Tony Hawk" of drifting. My best guess...JR
6. From #5...a good drifting video game :-)
7. Drifting will be in the x-games
8. Risky Devil will dominate all automotive sports
